Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Noryoku mobile application (the "App") operated by Noryoku ("we", "our", or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Noryoku is a Japanese language learning application that provides vocabulary, kanji, grammar, reading, listening, and AI-powered conversation practice to help users prepare for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). The App is available on iOS, Android, and web platforms.

3. Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the App require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription:

• You agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed in the App at the time of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period
• Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Use the AI chat feature to generate harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
• Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute the App's content without permission

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, audio, study materials, and software — is the property of Noryoku or its content licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.

7. AI Chat Feature

The App includes an AI-powered chat feature for language practice. Please note:

• AI responses are generated by a language model and may not always be accurate
• The AI chat is intended for language learning purposes only and should not be relied upon for professional translation or advice
• We may review chat interactions to improve the quality of the service

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The learning content is free of errors or omissions
• Use of the App will result in passing the JLPT or achieving any particular level of Japanese proficiency

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noryoku shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
